As a former public school teacher, my path into homeschooling and teaching at Connections has been an interesting journey. God’s fingerprints are all over it! After graduating from Appalachian State University in NC, I taught for five years in Atlanta, GA. I LOVED it! Other teachers kept telling me I was in the “honeymoon” stage of teaching, but to this day my love for students and teaching hasn’t diminished. I married, moved to WA with my husband, had three children, and began homeschooling. My youngest graduated from Connections in 2020. I have been teaching at Connections for eight years. I’m excited to continue teaching an updated finance class and continue as a WA history class. On a personal note, I’ve been married for 31 years, love gardening, baking, studying the Bible and trying to apply it, walking with friends, and playing games with my family.
