Pre-Registration

Pre-Registration

We are so thrilled that you are thinking of joining our Connections family, whether you enroll in one class, or fill all ten hours! Below is a brief checklist that will walk you through the pre-registration process.

Who May Register?

Students may enroll in any Connections class if they are homeschooled. Students who also participate in a public school/parent partnership like Northshore Networks or the HEE are also welcome to attend. Likewise, students who have been previously homeschooled and are concurrently enrolled in Running Start are eligible for Connections’ classes.

Connections Guidelines

All families who register agree to abide by the guidelines in the Family Guide, and be respectful of the Statement of Faith and Beliefs while on campus, regardless of their religious or non-religious affiliation. A New Family FAQ download and a General Question Page is available as well. Our Fees Policy explains the payment process for all fees. Finally, in order to ensure that Connections runs smoothly, every family at Connections is required to perform a job while on-site.

When Does Registration Happen?

Registration for the following school year opens shortly after spring break, and closes July 1. Registration opens again on August 1st, and remains open throughout the school year. New families may join at any time for the current year until March 1. The expectation is that enrollment commitments are for the entire school year, no matter when a student joins a class.

What Classes Are Available?

All current class offerings, including descriptions and prerequisites are listed here. Note that we meet both Mondays and Wednesdays, but that each class meets just once per week. All classes have an age range (age as of the first day of class), rather than a grade level.

Age Exceptions

Age exceptions within one year under or over the posted age range (age as of the first day of class) may be granted by the instructor.  Age exceptions outside the one year age range are rarely granted, but must first be agreed to by the instructor, and then voted on by the board. Both the instructor and the board will carefully consider emotional, physical, social and cognitive needs and maturity levels of both the requesting student and current class before granting an exception for unusual circumstances. Contact the instructor directly if you would like to request an age exception.

Waitlist

Some of our classes are full, but you are more than welcome to place yourself on the waitlist. Being on the waitlist does not commit you to enrolling and paying for the class should an opening become available.
