Jobs

Connections could not exist without the participation of the entire community. Every week we turn Sunday school rooms into classrooms and back again with the intent of leaving the church in better condition than when we arrived. Many hands make light work, so each family is assigned at least one job for each day they attend Connections. Classroom facilitators are chosen in May, and the other jobs are notified via email before classes begin in the fall.

All Family Jobs are on campus only. Parents are encouraged to volunteer to facilitate classes. Non-facilitator jobs are mostly Set-Up and Restore jobs starting 30 minutes before the 8:30/9:00 classes and ending 30 minutes after the 3:15/3:45 classes.  For this reason, families are expected to reserve and not schedule any activities 30 minutes before their first class or after their last class of their instruction day until their family job is assigned.

When you register, we ask you to specify any job preferences and physical constraints or limitations.  Some jobs can be done by your responsible student with your supervision; some need to be done by a parent.  If you need to be absent, you must find a replacement. From being a facilitator to emptying the trash, every job is vitally important. Thank you for helping make Connections run smoothly by faithfully completing your job.

Following are brief descriptions that will give you an idea of what types of jobs we assign:
