My name is Emily Norton. I am a staff pastor at Church of the Americas, a multicultural and multilingual church in Northgate, where I am the music director and coordinator for most events at the church. I was born in Australia and lived most of my life in Medellin, Colombia. Since my father is from Colombia and my mother is from the USA our home has always been bilingual, and it is not uncommon to hear a question asked at the dinner table in one language and answered in the other language. This tradition continues in my home with my wonderful husband of 19 years, Jason, and sweet nine year old, Naomi. I am so excited to be able to share Latin culture and the Spanish language with your student at Connections.
